5.2 Accelerator CableThis section covers replacement and adjustment of the accelerator cable for cars with manual transmission only. For cars with automatic transmission, the adjustment is part of the transmission adjustments described in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. Cable adjustment is relatively simple and is usually required only after the idle speed and maximum rpm have been adjusted, after a new pump is installed, or when installing a new cable. |
